Great insight into a complex set of issues. Clearly, narratives are most commonly used to solidify pre-existing value systems. You are right to point out how stories of sex trafficking create images of brutal male immigrants and weak female citizens/immigrants. Great insight on the issue of family re-unification. It appears as though the more rights both immigrants and citizens gain to work (be gay at work, bring their families into the country, etc.) the more hours we must work to "get by" as wealth disparity increases.
